Para Ruk
was founded in 2017 by Anna Madfis (Shenderova).
The brand began with silk scarves and shawls that Anna hand-dyed by herself using the Japanese Shibori technique.
Started as hand-crafted and has grown into couture.
In 2021 brand took part in New York Fashion Week.
For several years brand was presented in designers’ showroom during Tel-Aviv Fashion Week.
Publications with brand’s accessories have appeared in such as editorials as Vogue, Forbes, L’officiel, Harper’s Bazaar, Grazia, Israeli magazines: La Isha Magazine, Mako Il, Calcalist, Fashion Forward.
Accessories were presented in designers showrooms all over the world – New York, Los Angeles, Moscow, Tel-Aviv, Jerusalem.
Anna describes her brand as stylish, high-quality, exclusive, with deep meanings and stories behind each accessory.
For her collections, she draws inspiration from the traditions, symbols and nature of Israel, from her Jewish-Russian roots, and from her childhood and the place where she was born – near Lake Baikal, Siberia.
Para Ruk designs are not about religion or nationality. But about values that resonate with different people in different parts of the world.
Today Para Ruk is not only about silk scarves, but also collections of accessories such as: brooches made out of organic glass, beads & crystals, fine jewelry – earrings, bracelets, necklaces, clothes, bags, couture gloves and turbans.
Each scarf is hand-painted by watercolors and then paintings transferred to electronic format to be printed on silk. Square scarves are hand-rolled along the edge. Accessories, such as brooches or gloves are made based on the patterns of scarves.
